Spokane also has a reputation as a very 'paired-up', 'married-off' kind of area, and so people just don't have much time left over in their busy lives for new people. Yes, those types of closed off behaviors tend to stifle personal growth, keep people from having more interesting experiences in life and put up walls to newcomers. Guess that also explains why this area can be a lot more boring than others as a place to live (it's the people!) - Jealous Girlfriends and/or Wives. These women can't possibly imagine why their man might want some other, outside, even platonic feminine contact. The possibilities are staggering when you consider all of the unintended consequenses of trying to over-regulate human behavior! - Emotional Vampires. People are genuinely concerned that you might turn out to be one of those energy sucking, emotional vampires that have a way of horning in on their privacy and sucking the life out of their world! These needy souls can't seem to find friends out in the wild or in everyday life, so they feel the need to look on . Yet, it's entirely unfair that everybody advertising on the "Strictly Platonic" section, somehow gets lumped into this category (until proven otherwise). - Asexual Expectations. Think about it, isn't sex supposed to be an important part of the normal, interaction and experience that most adults routinely engage in?? If so, then what might that say about those who only advertise in the "Strictly Platonic" section? Granted, most people can understand that there is more to life than just sex. Yet, for whatever reason, sex is still considered to be "normal", and even 'highly valued' by many. So MOST people simply aren't looking in the section where you are currently advertising, therefore, should it be any surprise that 'sex-less' companionship somehow seems "hard" to find :-) - Asexual Emotional Vampires.
